The agreement, in plain language.
A short, plain-spoken set of terms for using Everwove. What you can expect from us, and what we ask in return.
The short version.
The essentials in a minute. The rest of this page is the full version for the details.
What you should know in one minute
Everwove is a private space for the relationships that matter most to you. By creating an account, you agree to use the service responsibly and in line with these terms. We'll do our best to keep the service reliable, respect your data (see our Privacy Policy), and give you clear ways to export your content or close your account at any time.
If you have a question that isn't answered here, write to support@everwove.com and a human will reply.
Note: this is a working draft. Before public launch we'll have it reviewed by counsel and updated as needed.
Your account.
How you sign up, keep your account safe, and who is responsible for activity on it.
Signing up
To use Everwove you'll create an account with an accurate email address and a password, or sign in through a supported third-party provider. You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in regions where that's the applicable age) to use Everwove.
Keeping it secure
You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Please notify us promptly at support@everwove.com if you suspect any unauthorized access. We recommend a strong, unique password and enabling two-factor authentication when available.
One person, one account
An account is intended for a single person. You're welcome to use Everwove on as many devices as you like, but please don't share a single account across multiple people — each person should have their own private space.
How we ask you to use Everwove.
A short list of what's off-limits, so Everwove stays a calm place for everyone.
Things we ask you not to do
While using Everwove, please don't:
- Break the law, or use Everwove to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
- Attempt to access another user's account, data, or sessions, or bypass our security controls.
- Probe, scan, or stress-test the service; attempt to disrupt it; or reverse engineer parts of the service that aren't open source.
- Use automated tools to scrape, resell, or bulk-export data in ways the product doesn't offer natively.
- Upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or contains malware.
If we believe an account is being used in violation of these terms, we may suspend or close it. For clear violations we'll usually give you a chance to correct the issue first.
What you create stays yours.
You own what you put into Everwove. We only use it to make the product work for you.
Ownership
The people, moments, notes, tags, and other content you create in Everwove are yours. We claim no ownership over them. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the service for you.
AI features
When you use AI features like Meeting Prep, Ask AI, or Quick Log, we send the relevant context to Anthropic's Claude API for that single request. We do not send your entire data set, and Anthropic does not retain or train on content submitted through their API. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
Export and deletion
You can export your content as JSON at any time from account settings, and you can delete individual records or your entire account whenever you like.
Availability, changes, and fees.
What we aim for in reliability, how pricing works, and how we'll tell you about changes.
Availability
We work to keep Everwove available and reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to bring the service down temporarily for maintenance, upgrades, or to respond to incidents.
Changes to the service
Everwove is an evolving product. Features may be added, changed, or removed over time. We'll give reasonable notice of material changes that affect you, and we'll always let you export your data before any change that would remove it.
Pricing
Everwove is free during early access. When we introduce paid plans, we'll notify active users by email before any charges begin. Early access users will receive a meaningful discount at launch.
Warranties and limits.
The standard legal bits — disclaimers, limits on liability, and how claims are resolved.
Service provided "as is"
Everwove is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Everwove and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the service, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim (or, if nothing, the equivalent of USD 50).
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations. Where that's the case, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law.
Third-party services
Everwove integrates with third-party services (see our Privacy Policy for the current list). We're not responsible for those services' availability, accuracy, or terms — your use of them is subject to their own agreements.
Closing your account, changes, and contact.
How either of us can end the agreement, how we'll communicate updates, and how to reach us.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time from account settings. We may close or suspend an account that materially violates these terms, or where required by law, and will give notice where reasonable. After closure you'll have a grace period to export your content before it's removed from production systems.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through the app before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
